Creating Change

Creating change in your life requires that you first set a goal and then define a path to achieve that goal. That process, while sounding simple, is not one that most people have been taught. In today's world we are given false promises of achieving lasting change in under 3 days, instance that we rely on blind faith or told we can learn the "secrets of change" by spending money on a product.

The process of change cannot be bought, but it can be taught. Change does not happen overnight and while achieving your goals does require action - it requires that you have a realistic plan.

For the next 15 weeks, Disco Vivo is going to show you an easy and effective way to achieve change in your life. You can use this method in any area of your life: personal, business, spiritual etc.

Let's get started shall we?

The first thing you need to do is to write down the change you want to make. It doesn't have to be just one, you can write down two or three.

Next,  I want you to also think through why this change is important to you, ask yourself what it means in your life and write that down as well. For example, if you want to lose weight - ask yourself why it is important to you. Does your weight change how you feel about yourself? If it does, write down exactly what it makes you feel and then write down how you would like to feel about yourself. Go further and ask yourself how those feelings impact the rest of your life. Or, maybe you want to earn more money - ask yourself what that not only means to you emotionally but what it will bring to the entirety of your life. Will earning more money make you less stressed and better able to be present in your relationships? Does money make you feel safe? Take the time to understand the entire nature of the change you want to make. Most attempts at bringing change to our lives fail because we only understand them on a superficial level. The things we identify as needing to change are only sign posts or symptoms of a much larger sense of our lives.

Now, over the next 7 days make it a habit to sit and read what you have written at least once a day. Say the words out loud, repeat them in silence in your head and you can also write them down several times a day to help reinforce your commitment to your change.

Then, come back and read the next step. Do one step a week as you learn this process. Once you have done this once, you will be able to use it quickly in any area of your life.
